Busy weekends just race on by. Super Saturday at church turned into a super crazy craft marathon lasting more than six hours (this includes setup and takedown). Wowza! I’m pretty much all crafted out at this point. Jared took an ethics test on Saturday with a runny nose and a head cold. He’s such a tiger…grrrrr. To reward ourselves for our hours of studying and service, we went golfing Saturday afternoon. The weather couldn’t have been better. We enjoyed fall leaves crunching under our feet and warm sunshine overhead. Smatterings of grey clouds made for the perfect sunset. We got paired up with two guys in plaid pants. I somehow beat them both – the plaid must've been messing with their game.
Today, I am looking forward to the week ahead. Sometimes it is a challenge for me to be optimistic when faced with Monday through Friday. Spending my days stuck in a cube is not always so easy. But, today I will be happy and think about my blessings. It is, after all, the month for giving thanks.
Today, I am thankful for:
A warm bed to sleep in each night
A belly full of food
Family near and far
Knowledge
Good books
Upcoming celebrations
Endless possibilities
