My husband, father and grandfather all sacrificed much for the freedom we enjoy in this beautiful country. The circumstances, years and locations all varied but the purpose was the same: to serve the people and defend the values that Americans hold dear. They are my heroes. Today I want to honor them and all of the other Veterans who have left their homes, families, jobs, and everyday comforts to defend our freedom. I am thankful to have examples of courage, compassion, and strength in my life and I am thankful to enjoy the freedom to express myself, to grow and to be challenged. Happy Veterans Day.
