One year older and wiser too.

(Grandma Fae and Jenny Boo)
It is my Grandma Fae’s 87th birthday today. Grandma Fae is a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She has glistening skin, bright blue eyes and beautiful white hair. She is graceful, kind and extraordinarily talented. In honor of her 87th birthday, I would like to thank my lovely Grandma for the many kind things she has done for me throughout my life.
Thank you Grandma Fae, for teaching me to sew, cook, eat right, take care of plants, and play Teddy Bears Picnic on the piano.
Thank you for letting me sleep over when I was little (I have always loved your luxurious bed adorned with beautiful blankets).
Thank you for the raviolis and pringles for lunch (before we knew they weren’t very healthy).
Thank you for making me green drinks, carrot juice and hot cereal every morning when I was in college.
Thank you for listening to all of my worries and always reassuring me.
Thank you for hosting beautiful parties on your back porch in the summertime.
Thank you for letting me help you plan our annual Valentine’s Day celebration.
Thank you for helping me make that scarecrow costume that I wore for Halloween when I was nine.
Thank you for collecting my childhood photos and making me an album.
Thank you for starting a Vegetarian club with me.
Thank you for letting me try on your beautiful rings during church.
Thank you for taking me Blimpie’s each year on my birthday.
Thank you for the thoughtful cards in the mail.
Thank you for cheering me up when I feel lonely and am missing you.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, patience and kindness.
Thank you for being my Grandmother, friend and soul mate.

Happy Birthday Grandma Fae!

I was going to do a post on Fae Fae too, but yours is a lot better than mine ever could be!

It is very true Jamie! I am still going to write a birthday wish to her, but yours is much better!

This is so sweet. Has anyone printed it off for her?
