Serenity now.

Protesters are marching around hooting, hollering and banging their buckets, making music with the emergency vehicles that love to showcase their sirens around this block. This is my background noise at work. Not so Zen, not at all. Thankfully, I grew up in a really noisy and rambunctious house. I can block out most any noise. Just ask Jared. It’s all about making friends with a daydream and making peace with the chaos. Today, I am distracting myself thinking about our road trip this weekend. We will go south and end up wherever the wind takes us. Really, we are planning on ending up in Myrtle Beach for some 50 degree weather and golf. But, who knows? Maybe we will find our way to some small town south of here and find it so irresistible that we just have to stay. I am glad we are escaping the inauguration madness. I don’t think we will be missing out at all. DC could use a few less people this weekend. We are just trying to do our part. Serenity now, baby.

Jammie Baby- I think that sounds like a great idea. I felt like I was reading a passage in a great novel or something!
