That it’s your birthday!
Happy Birthday mom! You deserve the best day because you put up with me and because you are the most generous, selfless, kind and wonderful woman I know. Here’s what I propose you do:
1. have a coke and a glazed donut for breakfast
2. take a nice big bubble bath
3. play some bowling on the wii
4. make one of your children take you to a gourmet lunch
5. buy yourself a nice little birthday prize (maybe a plane ride to a nice tropical location)
6. be absolutely selfish
7. get a massage and a pedicure while reading a sleazy novel
8. have a nice supper with birthday cake
If I could be there, I would treat you to some good old fashioned birthday fun. Since I'm here in DC braving the below zero temps, I will have to settle for being there in my heart. I did send you a little something in the mail. It probably won’t make it to you today (darn it), but keep your eyes peeled. I love you Mom. Happy Birthday.
