The weather is being funny right now. One moment the sun was peeking through big fluffy clouds. A moment later the sky turned black with green and navy highlights. Then pellets of hail came crashing down. DC storms are gorgeous, scary and intense. Our first summer here, Jared and I got a crash course in stormy DC weather. It rained for days without stopping. Target ran out of umbrellas and half of the city was flooded. The thunder and lightning entertained us and took away our power several nights a week. When the rain stopped, the fireflies came out to play. I’ve never seen such magic before in my life. I will miss the fireflies most.Tuesday, April 21, 2009
A storm’s a brewin’.

Even the small picture makes it look very scary. Is the building the project they were starting across the street by the bus stop?
I hope it is not storming like this when we are visiting. I would be totally spooked.
