There is sunshine in my soul today. I woke up yesterday morning with that song in my head and it made me smile. Weekday mornings are usually filled with worries about the day ahead; not so much sunshine. I am great at considering only the worst case scenario when analyzing a situation. What if this horrible thing happens? What if that horrible thing happens? It is a habit I developed as a young pup. Too many mornings I’ve woken up and fallen face first off the wrong side of the bed. In hopes of correcting my dooms day demeanor, I started filling a little orange diary with inspirational quotes and thoughts. I read through my orange book a lot. Especially on mornings when there’s no sunshine in my soul. It uplifts me and helps me remember that I don’t have to approach my days with thoughts of fear and anxiety. I do have a choice in the matter.
I add to my little diary whenever good thoughts, scriptures or quotes come my way. I give to it and it gives back. I look at it as a mutually beneficial relationship.
One of my favorite quotes scribbled inside:
“Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and play and to look up at the stars.”-Henry Van Dyke

you're my sunshine, baby!
Love the Orange book.... Here's a quote.. "When the music changes, so does the dance." It's an African proverb and one of my favorites.
