The icy cold air is stalking me. I’m considering asking for a restraining order. With the last days of winter taunting me, I find myself thinking of my first memory of spring. It was the first time I really understood what a season was. I was standing on the back balcony of my childhood home admiring the horses grazing in our lovely green pasture. The warm breeze was tousling my hair and the gentle sun warmed me to the bone. Winter had disappeared and replaced itself with budding trees, chirping birds and green grass. I turned to my mom and said, “Mom, it’s spring.” She agreed with me and I felt so smart. I knew what season it was. I was right!I soaked in the sunshine that day, feeling like a new person. I will always remember how good it felt to have nothing to do but notice the season. To wiggle my bare toes and play red rover with my sisters. Spring holds a special place in my heart. It truly is a new birth, a time to break out of hibernation and plant seeds to bloom in summer. With the warm breeze just around the corner, I am busy making plans. These are my thoughts for March:
spring clean the apartment
start a regular workout routine
eat a banana split with all the toppings
take aimless walks
have supper at the Cinegrill
shower baby Claire with kisses
buy a pretty spring dress
miss work due to spring fever
create a piece of art

Spring is my favorite time of year too! So...was not too happy to wake up to snow this morning, although, I have to admit, it was quite pretty. But, I hope it's gone by the end of the day...it's time for SPRING!!
Spring is Clint out putting around in his yard even though it isn't very warm.
I like your list Jamie. I can't wait for Spring either. It has been cloudy and snowy today. Boo!
