In 1986, my sisters and I liked to play in the irrigation ditch while our parents watered the garden. We weren’t scared of the water snakes that were most likely sharing the ditch with us. We were just happy to have our very own muddy swimming hole. I don’t know why Marcie didn’t get a fancy leotard like me and Traci. Knowing Marcie, she probably insisted on being in her birthday suit. Oh, those were the days.
