I am happy to report that we made it through Saturday’s rapture relatively unscathed, which I must say, made for an all around good weekend.

Piper and Dad talking to a goat.
Our weekend did get off to a bit of a gloomy start, but the sun was persistent (one of the many things I like about the sun) and we were able to go to the Irvine Park for a train ride and some animal viewing. The highlight of our park trip was talking to our friend, the goat, and watching our even better friend, the owl, let off a little steam. We really love owls around these parts. Jared even taught us about how birds have a cloaca. I obviously didn’t do well in high school zoology, because I’d never heard of such a thing. |

What an interesting and wonderful world we live in, full of owls, goats, humans, human toddlers and other plants and creatures. I am glad it is still around so we can enjoy it.

Ah, phooey! You should've let her come into the pond!
These are some pretty stinking cute pictures! What did the goat have to say?
Love the title. Is that from SNL? Cute pics
Ha! Yes Angela, the title is from SNL. It's Jared's favorite skit :)
