Home Depot.

The Home Depot, or Home Dehpot as my father-in-law would say, has become our home away from home this week. We’ve been buying dirt there so I can plant an herb garden and somehow I never seem to get the right kind (who knew there were so many types of dirt?) or the right amount. So we keep going back, over and over again. It’s like one of those dreammares where you are trying to accomplish something, but never seem to be able get the job done. Luckily, Piper doesn’t seem to mind hangin’ at the Depot. In fact, I think she’s in love with the race car shopping carts. Especially when I push them around like I’m inebriated (the things are impossible to steer). It is fun.
Please cross your fingers that my potted garden survives after all of my efforts, especially since I’ve been known to kill a plant or two. One time, an aloe vera plant exploded in my bedroom in the middle of the night because I was mistreating it. True story (possibly dramatized). Funny thing is – I used to be a “plant technician” at a really nice greenhouse in Salt Lake. I don’t exactly know how I got that job; I really don’t know how I kept it. Oh, the trials.

Well, I better let you go, so I can sing my herbs a lullaby goodnight.

Looks like piper might eat the steering wheel. I will cross my fingers that your plants will grow!

Too bad she won't be able to drive a real car until she's 30.

Hendrix loves those carts too but they are so growdy and Utah doesn't have such cool ones. I think I would kill an herb garden too... I should try it out:)
