Piper had her first Easter egg hunt last weekend. It was held at a creepy trailer park in Newport Beach, but that’s a different story for a different day. Piper was in hog heaven with all of those plastic eggs nestled in the grass. She thought the eggs were balls, and these days Piper just happens to be obsessed with anything that looks like a ball. While we were waiting for the madness to begin, Piper just kept screaming “BALL” “BALL” while she tried to wiggle her way to the eggs. It took quite a bit of effort (on our behalf) and screaming (on Piper’s behalf) to keep her away.
As the hunt started and kids started running and elbowing their way to fill their baskets, Piper freaked. All the commotion didn’t suit her. Luckily, we found a little spot of grass away from the chaos, where we gathered a few eggs and let her do her thing. All in all, we had a great time and Piper was a happy little Easter Bunny with her bucket full of plastic balls eggs.
