I think I may losing it. Or maybe I never had it in the first place. Who knows? Jared has once again used his powerful debating skills in an attempt to set me straight. You see, I have always used the word few to mean two and sometimes three. Jared has informed me that few strictly means three or more, while couple means two. When talking about more than three, Jared says that several is the correct word. I agree with my man on several meaning three or more, and couple meaning two. I just can’t bring myself to agree with him in his opinion that few can’t mean two. If I say “I am going to be gone for a few days,” I would think that would be a vague way of saying two – maybe three. Jared insists that few can never mean two and that the proper word for two is couple. Well, I surveyed a few of my co-workers and shockingly they agreed with Jared. I, however, was not satisfied with my co-workers' opinions. I mean, one of them can’t even use the correct spelling for “to” in emails, so I can’t exactly trust that opinion. To make a long story short, I looked up few in the dictionary and it says: “being more than one but indefinitely small in number.” I think my case has been proven. A few simply has to be more than one, making two a perfectly acceptable intended meaning for the word. What do you think? I think I just got my groove back. Yeah baby.

Few, couple, several.

You crack me up!
I think too much law school is getting to Jared's brain. Tell him I am worried for his future if you can beat him in a debate.
