Cable Guy.

Last night was an adventure and a half. I was being a total grump and in a brief moment of insanity I decided to cancel our cable subscription. I woke up this morning, hung over from my grump fest, but feeling ok about the decision to get rid of cable. I am a little sad because I had a bunch of shows recorded on our DVR that I didn’t get a chance to see (Little People Big World, anyone?). They are now lost forever. It’s probably best to make a clean break, though. I would have never cancelled if I had attempted to watch everything that was recorded on that box. Auto-recorded shows would have just kept piling on the old shows and I would have been feverishly watching TV for hours and hours trying to make a dent. I would wake up in the morning with dry, blood shot eyes and a larger backside. Not a pretty picture. Anyway, here’s the funny thing - after I cancelled our deluxe cable package, Jared discovered that we have basic cable for free in our building. I think we have been robbed. We were basically paying a ridiculous amount every month for the convenience of a DVR recorder and a few lame bonus channels. Now I can watch the food network on Saturday morning, but not feel obligated to watch all of those dang DVR recordings. I guess my grump-induced temporary insanity was really a blessing in disguise.
PS - My awesome mom sent me this bright yellow sweater. It really helps me get rid of the grumps.
