The first Christmas tree.

We did it! We bundled up, jumped in the car, drove to the lot and picked out our Christmas tree yesterday. It’s a real beauty. It fits our apartment like mini marshmallows fit a steaming cup of hot cocoa. I’m pretty sure it was meant for our little home. Our first Christmas tree together, just the two of us! It’s a special occasion. We strung up some lights on our tree, but the string ran out before the job was done. We will be making yet another trip to Target this evening for some more twinklers. We need bedazzle. Then, we will dig the ornaments Jared’s mom gave him out of storage, and voila! Our Christmas tree will be in service. I will post pictures soon. Promise.
On another very exciting note – today is the last day of classes for Jared this semester. His finals will stretch over the next few weeks then we will be counting down: five semesters done, one to go! I can’t believe how close we are. It’s been challenging on so many different levels, but we’ve had a lot of fun too. I am so proud of husband. He is a genius rock star!
