A very happy birthday.

My lover celebrated his birthday this weekend. In honor of our main man’s trip around the sun, we whipped up a cheesecake, ate at our favorite burger spot, watched lots of football and took a train ride at the Irvine Regional Park. 

The park in Irvine is fabulous. If you are making a trip to Orange County with your children, you should go there. There’s a little zoo with rescued animals from the southwest, paddle boats and bikes are offered for rent, and the train ride is available for folks of all ages.

We went on the train, which Piper absolutely loved. When she gets excited, she rotates her little wrists around as fast as she can. Let me tell you, she was rotating those wrists for the entire train ride. We also took a walk around the small zoo and Piper got to see some owls, which may be one of her favorite animals.

I think we had a fabulous birthday weekend for Jared. I hope he thinks so too.

A note to Jared:
I love you. Piper does too. You are the man. We are the luckiest girls in the universe. Happy Birthday to you. Big kisses, little hugs, little kisses, big hugs.
