It was a long, long night.

Piper sleeping peacefully at 2.5 months.
Piper is really putting us through the ringer. I don’t know what’s going on, but once or twice a week she wakes up about two hours after we put her down for the night, and no matter what we do, she cries and cries and cries for what seems like forever. Last night, she fussed, cried and kept us on our toes from about 10:30pm until 1am, and then she was up again at 4am for a bit.

She cut her two bottom teeth a few weeks ago, so I suppose she could be cutting her top ones now. I just don’t know. I feel like I am failing as a mother because I don’t know how to help Piper sleep well. She used to sleep through the night like a champ, which makes this all the more frustrating.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom, any encouragement? I feel like I am on the verge of a total meltdown. Help me, Rhonda!

Oh Jammers I am so sorry little miss isn't sleeping well. Claire still has bad nights, like last night. I wish I new what to tell you. I will think then call you.

It's hard when they can't talk yet and can't tell you what hurts. You are NOT failing Jamie, it's perfectly normal. You are doing a fantastic job, don't ever doubt yourself. I hope you and Piper both get some sleep. Good Luck!

Try a little benadryl. That's a little pain killer and a sleeper for little kids.

I suggest you do what Kwinton does and sleep on your good ear. He never hears ANYTHING! Ok, now seriously, I am sorry she is having such a hard time sleeping. My kids all went through it at one point or another. Just hang in there it will pass. Maybe she just wants you to come in and look at her sweet little face some more. How could you refuse?!

Jamma - this is the worst. They tease you for a couple of weeks sleeping through the night, then bam... They are up crying. I bet you it is more teeth. Hang in there babes! Love you...
