It's a rocky slope.

Tomorrow I turn 28. Yes, my friends, you heard me right. 28. For whatever reason, I am having a hard time coping with the thought. Here I am, so dangerously close to 30, playing number games. It’s silly. I feel like I’m still 18. Maybe my biological calendar is just 10 years off.

I am so negative sometimes. I need to be positive, optimistic, happy and hopeful. Tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY. I will celebrate. I will embrace my age and all of the stories, wisdom, trials and joys that go along with it. Let me remember the words of Mark Twain: “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”

Give it 20 more years, then you'll really have a hard time with it. I remember my 28th birthday vividly. It was the day Corey was born. At least I know he will never forget my birthday! :) It's also the year your grandma pointed out to me how much gray hair I had. Been coloring it ever since. See...things could be worse. ;) Hope you have a fantastic birthday Jamie!!
