My little sister Staci Jo came down to SoCal for a visit last week. The weather was absolutely perfect, sunny and in the 80s, so we spent a lot of time at the pool and the beach. We also made a few shopping excursions to Fashion Island and the Irvine Spectrum. The mall is an important venue for sisterly bonding; really, it’s pretty much a requirement when a sister is in town.

We loved having Jo around. Piper absolutely adores her. When Jo laughs, Piper laughs. No matter what Jo is doing, Piper is watching. Jo was so sweet and watched Piper while Jared and I went to Costco. When we got home the two were taking a nap together, with Piper’s little hand resting on Jo’s arm. It was about the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.
I’m sad Jo is gone. So is Piper. Come back soon, sissy boo. We miss you already.
