I love weekends. Piper and I get Jared all to ourselves (mostly) and we get to have all sorts of fun together. Last week was a nightmare, (Jared had to work about 60 hours) so we are especially thankful for this weekend. Today, we were able to lounge at the beach and get a chocolate shake at the shake shack. The weather wasn’t amazing, but we still had loads of fun. We let Piper put her little feet in the sand, which ended up being a bad idea because she immediately tried to stick her sandy foot in her mouth. I'm not sure sand is too good for the belly, although maybe it has some fiber in it... We shall see.

Oh my gosh Jamie, she is so cute. I am glad the little hat fits her. We will have to do a beach day while Claire and I are visiting. :)

We ate mud pies when I was growing up and I am still alive to tell about it. :) She's a doll!
