The anatomy of a time out.

Piper loves trouble. Some of her favorite naughty shenanigans these days include:

·        Throwing toys

·        Throwing rocks

·        Throwing hymnals at metal chairs in church

·        Taking off her pants and diaper

·        Causing a ruckus at bedtime

·        Chewing up and spitting out her food

·        Running away from us when we are out in public

·        Dumping her toys out of their bins and walking away

·        Pitching fits when she isn’t getting exactly what she wants

Luckily, as much as Piper loves trouble, she hates time out. It has been our saving grace. 90 seconds of time out and she usually sharpens up her act (for a few minutes, at least).  When she starts acting crazy at church, Jared takes her out and puts her in a little chair for a time out. She reacts the same way every time, burying her face in her hands and sulking like it’s the end of the world. It’s pretty hard to be stern when she is being such a cute little drama queen!

Despite all of her naughty ways, Piper is really a sweet little gal. She loves and hugs us a lot and she makes us laugh every single day. And, I’m sure when she has kids of her own, she’ll get what’s coming to her!
