First off, I must thank Jared for yesterday’s blog birthday tribute. It was (mostly) very sweet. I think I’ll forgive him for sharing some of my shameful moments with you, since I love him so very much. Second, thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, both over the phone and on the internet. Turning 29 seemed so ominous to me, being so close to 30 and all, but I think I’ll be ok. Especially with great buddies like you keeping me in check.
My birthday celebrations were wonderful. We did most of our partying on Saturday, my birthday eve. The weather was pretty perfect, so we hit up Laguna Beach and soaked up the sun. Then, we got takeout from The Counter, our favorite OC burger joint. On my birthday we did some churching, relaxing and snacking. Then Jared serenaded me with his super hot rendition of happy birthday, I made a wish, and blew out the candles atop two Sprinkles cupcakes. It was lovely. I think 29 is going to be a good year.
