Piper went ahead and turned 18 months old on us. Yikes! She’s a tall, skinny little gal – 85th percentile in height and just 5th in weight. I’m trying my best to fatten her up, but she insists on staying tiny, no matter how much olive oil and full-fat greek yogurt I shovel in her mouth. Jared and I were both runts as babies, so maybe it’s just in her genetic code.
Here’s what Pip-Squeak has been up to these days:
- She’s obsessed with her little pink teddy bear (see picture) and she must lug the thing around with her everywhere.
- She is quite shy. She always says hello and goodbye after the recipient of the greeting has stopped paying attention to her.
- She will, however, tell me and Jared goodbye if she wants to get into trouble and doesn’t want us to watch her do it.
- Her favorite food is spaghetti.
- She enjoys making animal noises – especially snake, peacock and owl sounds.
- Her favorite activity is hiding under the covers in our guest bed.
- She loves it when we say, in a scary like voice, “I’m gonna get you!” Nothing gets her more excited.
- She refuses to sit down in the bathtub.
- She will only sit in her stroller if we are taking her for a run (she must have her golf ball, snacks and water to keep her entertained), otherwise forget about it.
I am so glad we have little Piper to keep us on our toes. She’s quite the handful, but we wouldn’t have it any other way, we just love her to pieces. Happy 1.5, baby girl!

What were you doing up at 12:03 pm? Cute picture!
Mom- I know I'm a diva, but it isn't completely unusual for me to be awake at high noon. Haha.
Lesson learned... Do not commern on blogs at 2 am!
So cute! Brielle does the same thing with the hello and goodbyes. What good does that do right?
