We had a merry Christmas in Utah. Being back in California leaves me feeling a little sad and also a little relieved. It was a joy to see Piper experience her first Christmas – all of the twinkling lights and playing with her cousins made her a happy girl. I’m pretty sure she misses her buddies already.

Since the trip was really long, I’ll spare you the details and just leave you with our top ten Christmas highlights (in no particular order):
10 – Seeing Piper in her festive PJs on Christmas morning.
9 – Celebrating with our families.
8 – Stuffing ourselves at the Cinegrill.
7 – Playing throwback Mario Bros with Jenny Boo and Wes.
6 – Watching A Christmas Story and remembering how funny that movie really is.
5 – Seeing Piper learn all sorts of new tricks, thanks to Claire and Hendrix.
4 – Snuggling by a warm fire while watching the snow fall outside.
3 – Snacking on goodies all day and night.
2 – Napping while my sweet sisters watched Piper.
1 – Realizing that Christmas miracles really do happen.

Wow, can't believe your trip was so dang short, we miss you already. It was a fun Christmas. Love you and can't wait for the year in review!
