Jared played hookie from work today to hang out with me and Piper. It was the best day. We started out our morning with some delicious waffles – my mom’s famous recipe. Then I got to take a bubble bath. I just love a nice hot bubble bath, don’t you? After my bath, we went on a little walk to the park. The sun was warm and shining and Piper was squealing her guts out. Fresh air does a baby (and momma and poppa) good. As you can see, Piper had a ball on the swings.
For lunch, Jared and Piper went out and picked up some delicious Gandolfo’s sandwiches. Piper took a little nap on their adventure, so she was extra happy when they got home. After lunch, we headed to the beach and played in the sand. Really, you can’t beat the sunshine in Newport Beach in January – especially when your husband takes a day off work to enjoy it with you.
Piper is now tucked in bed, sleeping soundly (hopefully all night) and I am getting ready for some beauty sleep myself.
I think Jared should play hookie more often so we can have lots of perfect days like this.

Where are the beach pictures. You could at least let us look at them and pretend we were at the beach.
