Our 4th.

Our 4th ended up being a pretty lovely holiday. After church, we enjoyed some raspberry spritzers, cucumbers in vinegar, veggies and dip, corn on the cob, root beer and ice cream. I didn’t think we would be able to enjoy any fireworks, but we lucked out and our apartment window gave us a perfect view of the show at Fashion Island. I just love holiday weekends! It is so nice when Jared is home for three days in a row. Piper and I love having our main man all to ourselves. Our weekend was filled with several mini adventures. We went to Huntington Beach for the worst hamburger on the planet, we ate some Chronic Tacos in Newport Beach, we enjoyed some cinnamon rolls at a stinky park and I finally found a swimsuit.

How was your 4th of July weekend?

Now it’s back to the grind. I am working with Piper on the Teach Your Baby to Read program. My niece Claire and nephew Hendrix have had some great success with it. We’ll see how Piper likes it...
