I have been feeling so bad about losing touch lately with my good buddy, the blog. I am still working on getting my groove back. I can feel a change in the air, so maybe this will be the start of a great new beginning. Anyway, I thought it would be nice to kick-off our new beginning with catching up on life lately.
Catching up on Halloween:
Catching up on Halloween:
Piper was Minnie Mouse for Halloween this year. She was so mad at me for putting that costume on her – I think she might resent me forever for it. She refused to wear her ears, but she still looked cute as a button. *Thanks for taking one for the team, Piper.* Jared was hot as ever dressed as a lumber jack. He was so proud of his homemade axe. I was proud of him for dressing up. I was lame this year and did not put a costume on. There’s always next year, right? Anyhow, we had a fun time at Jared’s office Halloween party and were happy when we had several trick-or-treaters visit our spooky townhouse on Halloween night. I was lazy and CafĂ© Rio (instead of my deluxe nachos) was on the menu and we successfully got Piper addicted to dum dums. It was a grand Halloween indeed.
Catching up on Piper:Piper has been cracking us up like no other lately. She has developed a love of singing with her arms open wide, just like Rapunzel on Tangled. She also loves working her upper body by dangling on anything and everything she can reach (bars at the playground, her high chair, the counter top, etc…). She gets a kick out of going to the mall with me so she can ride up and down the elevator and escalator at Nordstrom. She refuses to sit in her stroller unless I bribe her with snacks and my iPhone. She has a passion for making animal sounds – her favorites to imitate these days are ducks, horses and frogs. She is growing a little hair and is sporting a nice little mulleted pixie cut. She hates going to bed at night and loves to harass her father (just like me). We are so very glad little Miss Piper is ours (but would be happy to share her for a few hours if anyone wants to come out and baby sit, so we could go on a hot date).
Catching up on life:
Life has been good. I am still feeling a little dumpy and tired, but that’s just that. Jared has been working hard for his money, and Piper and I have been working hard to not spend it. We have been spending a lot of time at the Irvine Spectrum (an outdoor mall in our hood). Piper loves to walk around and see all of the dogs there and take a ride on the carousel. In fact, we’ve spent so much time walking at the Spectrum, I’ve managed to wear a hole in my favorite golden shoes. So it goes. My mom was recently out for a visit. We had a great time with her and I was sad to put her on a plane back to
