There’s been so much fun going around, I seem to have forgotten to log on to the internet. Oopsie.

Most of the fun has been due to a visit from my parents. I loved showing them our new place and our recently acquired dwarf meyer lemon tree. Why is growing things so exciting? I enjoy it very much. Unfortunately, my mom had to give me the bad news that my tomato plant is probably going to die, so I need to get a new one. Uggh. Can you spell disappointment? My first attempt at growing a potted tomato plant, and it’s over before it even started. Oh well, I shall keep trying.

The weather was beautiful while my parents were here, so we were able to hit the pool and the beach. Piper is still in love with chasing down the waves. It is so cute to watch those long skinny legs make a run for it. We also ate like kings and queens. I made some amazing chocolate marshmallow cupcakes with chocolate ganache frosting (an attempt at the Sprinkles version). We ate all 24 of them over three days. Oh yeah, baby.

I am so glad that we get so many visitors to our humble abode. I love spending time with my family, especially mom and pops. Now back to reality. Monday is upon us. Deep breath, here we go.
