Just another day at the beach.

I know, I know. All I talk about these days is going to the beach. But hey, that’s what you do in Southern California, right? Jared’s parents have been in town, so we thought we’d take them down to Laguna Beach today for some good old fashioned fun. Thankfully, we convinced Jared’s Dad to wear shorts this time around (he nearly had a heat stroke when he wore his dark blue jeans to Huntington Beach last year). 

Piper is still in love with the beach. She likes us to dig a big hole that she can put her feet in, then we fill it up with water and she goes nuts splashing and mucking around. It is always nice when I can find something so simple to keep her occupied. This child is something else.

You may notice I chopped my hair off. Actually, I have a hat on so maybe you won’t notice. Anyhow, I copied my little sister Jenny and cut off about six or seven inches. We look like twinners, and couldn’t be happier about it. I feel like a new woman, and bonus, I only have to spend half the usual time to dry my mane. 

You may also notice my lover’s hairy chest. Don’t worry, it’s just because he’s a man’s man. *Jenny – does ‘One learn how to trim chest hair in barber school? Jared may need his services.

Jared’s parents take off back to Zion tomorrow so it will be lonely again at our place. I'm sure Piper is going to be quite sad. And so will I.
