My baby is turning into a toddler right before my eyes. I can’t believe she is one year old. Her first year has gone by in the blink of an eye. I’m hesitant to blink again, for fear that when I open my eyes I’ll be an 80 year old grandma cruising around on a Jazzie. Oh the horror. Enough about me though, this is all about Piper.
As should be standard with birthdays, we had a week-long celebration for Piper’s big day. First, Jared’s parents came out for a visit, and then my parents came out to see Piper on her birthday. We spent our time going on carousel rides, watching Elmo and participating in other festive activities.
On the actual big day, Piper opened some presents and tried her first taste of birthday cake (which she hated, by the way). Since spaghetti is Piper’s favorite food, we went to Mamma D’s Italian Kitchen in Newport Beach for a fantastic pasta dinner. Piper was stunned when she was serenaded by the entire restaurant with a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday. I can’t say enough good things about Mamma D’s. You should go there.

I can't believe Piper is already one. I hope I get to meet her soon. We are trying to plan a trip up there this fall, I will have to keep you posted about it. Anyway, she is such a cutie. I love seeing all the pictures of your family, and I am always super jealous of the seemingly wonderful weather you are always having!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIPER!
