Five things to remember.

Remember this #1: Picnics are a byway to happiness; quiet Sunday afternoons are good for the soul. On Sunday we had a delicious grilled kebob picnic with lots of veggies. Piper was enchanted by the smoky grill and I was enchanted by the perfect weather and quiet time with my family.

Remember this #2: I am apparently too old and/or out of shape to go across monkey bars without having really sore armpits the next day. I learned this the hard way when I decided to try out the monkey bars during a walk with Piper and Jared.

Remember this #3: It’s ok to feel down sometimes, but life is a lot better with a sunny perspective. I have to remind myself of this often. Feeling gloomy sometimes seems to be imbedded in my personality.

Remember this #4: A hot shower always makes things better. If I am feeling sick or worn down, a hot shower is always revitalizing and gives me the charge I need to make it through.

Remember this #5: Always buy the good vinegar. No joke. Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar might be a little expensive, but the stuff is so much better than your cheap, run of the mill vinegar. I like to pour a few tablespoons of the stuff in a cup and drink it down for a zing of energy (in an emergency I drink it straight from the bottle).

Apple cider vinegar and honey tea. Has to be honey though, no substitutes. Good for the soul and the body. :)

I tried doing the monkey bars the other day too and about killed myself. I thought my arms were going to rip off!
