Piper discovered her feet today. While I was changing her diaper she just grabbed on to her socks and stared at her mysterious little appendages. It was really cute. My sister Jenny tells me Piper has found her two best friends. Those little tootsies will keep her entertained for hours. It’s funny, as a parent, these small milestones seem totally monumental. I am always amazed at Piper’s growth and development. I’m sure everyone else could care less, and that’s ok. I do enough caring to go around.
As far as other things go…Jared is rocking his job. He had a great success in a pro bono case he’s been working on for the past few months. The partner he was working under sent a nice email about Jared’s great work to the rest of the firm. It’s always nice to be recognized for hard work. He needs the positive feedback with all of the long hours, blood, sweat and tears he puts in.As for me, I’m just here taking care of little Piper Bear. It’s quite the job and I’m so happy I get to do it. We are going to Utah in less than two weeks for a visit and Marcie’s bridal shower. We got the tickets spontaneously after some coaxing from my mom. I am so excited to see everybody and so nervous to fly with Piper. It will be just the two of us – Jared is coming out a few days after we do. I hope we survive. Any tips for flying with a 3.5 month old are welcome.

Jamie, she is seriously so stinking cute. I can't wait tell you are here! Piper has changed so much! Love you. The flight will be just fine!
Hurrah! I'm so glad you're coming! Can't wait to see that cute little Piper. Tips for flying...when you take off it's best if she's sucking on something, a bottle, a binky, whatever. Helps alleviate the pressure in her ears. :) Good Luck!
She will sleep like a baby, Jamie! As she should--ha ha.
