The deal, yo!

Life is moving on by, whether I like it or not. It has been a month since I last sent my thoughts bouncing around the www. I wish I had the ability to blog more often, but more important things (like sleep and time with my loves) keep tugging me away.

So, things have been pretty darn good around these parts. I am slowly, but surely learning how to juggle the two littles. They are a handful, I tell you. I am still working on getting back to cooking proper meals and keeping the house clean. Much to my chagrin, It looks like my journey back to domestic bliss will have to be a gradual one.

The children are doing great. Piper seems to have grown up over night. She's talking a lot these days and is constantly surprising us with new words and phrases. I love to hear her little voice and could listen to her babble on all day long. She will finally go to nursery at church on her own. Hallelujah! And she went against her tomboy tendencies when she let me paint her toenails for the first time the other day. I was so excited! Even though she gets jealous of her little brother from time to time, it is obvious that she loves him by all of the snuggles and kisses she is constantly giving him. I am really enjoying watching little Pip Squeak learn and grow. She is a true sassy pants and I love her to pieces.
Micah is growing like a weed. He is smiling and cooing quite a bit now - especially in the mornings and right after I feed him. I am happy to report that he is a really easy going little guy.  He doesn't really fuss much and he falls asleep quickly and easily. Unfortunately, I still have to get up a few times a night to feed him. Hopefully he will be able to do longer stretches of sleep sooner rather than later. At the end of the day, we really couldn't ask for a better or sweeter baby.
Jared is lawyering away, busy as can be. He's also training for the St. George marathon in October. I can't wait to see him dominate the red rock! My man is a stud. No joke.
As for me I'm getting anxious about turning 30 in one month. Where has my youth gone? Bah! Since I'm feeling a bit frumpy, bogged down with some extra lbs of baby weight, and since the terror of 30 is quietly looming over my head, I've decided to do something extreme. I've decided to train this year with a goal to break the Utah Summer Games triple jump record for my age group in the 2013 games. I broke the triple jump record for my age group in 1996, and it is still unbroken. I would love to have my name in the books twice! I have to jump more than 28 feet to break the current record for 30-year-olds. I think I can do it. I'll keep you updated on my progress!

Hopefully I'll be back here before another month passes. If not, know that I'm off doing very important things, like taking a nap!

30 seems awesome when 60 isn't that far away! I'm excited to go to the Summer Games and watch you compete.

I am excited to see you break the record at the summer games. And 30 really isn't that bad.
