Castles made of sand.

It was a sand castle extravaganza! How could we miss it?

A few Sundays ago, we loaded the Corolla and hit up the beach in Corona Del Mar for its annual sand castle competition. We had fun and Piper ate loads of sand. I thought she was done with that nonsense, but apparently she has missed the grit in her mouth (and the next day in her diaper). Our lovely daughter also attempted to smash every sand castle in sight. Apparently, besides eating sand, it’s what she does.

Jared and I enjoyed strolling along the beach and running into some friends who happened to have a box of Sprinkles cupcakes at their home down the road just waiting to be shared. It was a fateful meeting, indeed.

Living near the beach is a nice perk in life. Very nice.
