Lake Powell recap.

Our trip to Lake Powell was pretty awesome. The sun was shining, the water was warm, the stars were bright and the company was good. Even though I haven’t been working too hard at all this summer, it was really great to get away. It was so relaxing and so, so nice to bask in the sunshine.
Jared was able to go waterskiing and wakeboarding. He even got a little air on the wakeboard (pretty good for only his third time). My man seriously looks so hot when he’s participating in water sports. I can’t get enough.
The sunsets were beautiful on the lake. So peaceful and serene. The stars also put on a great show each night. We were able to see several shooting stars. I would have to say, shooting stars are my favorite gift from nature. They might even be better than the fireflies that show up on muggy summer nights back east.
While chilling on the houseboat with my man and cute sissys I was able to read The Street of a Thousand Blossoms by Gail Tuskiyama. It was a sad, but wonderful story about two orphaned brothers growing up in Japan during World War II. I would recommend it for a good summer read.
The little boys caught a bunch a fish. I think a catfish and a few carp. They were nice enough to catch and release. I was pretty glad about that. They are cute little guys. Full of curiosity and always up for an adventure.
Anyhow, it looks like we’re back to the grind. Jared has just two more weeks before the Bar exam. He has been studying so hard all summer. It will be such a great release for him to take the test and have it over and done. I am so proud of him for all he has accomplished in law school and now beyond. I can’t wait to celebrate the end of the Bar with him, and the beginning of our new adventure.
