Before the sun rises.
It’s hard to do, I know. But there’s just something about waking up before the sun rises; before the world turns back into the click clack of busy feet. After my morning shower I love to go into the living room, open up the blinds, and brush my teeth on the couch, watching the empty metro cars glide by waiting to be filled by morning commuters. It’s a great time for reflection - an opportunity to look at the early morning sky, navy blue with wispy white clouds, and feel thankful. I am glad for moments of quiet. I am glad to have moments to take in the beauty of early mornings; especially in this city, a place where stillness is hard to come by.
