Falling into autumn.

Living in Southern California makes me feel seasonally disoriented. It seems like summer is just beginning, when really today is the first day of fall. The leaves don’t change here, the cool fall breeze never drifts through my window, and there isn’t much need for a jacket. I live in a year-round bubble of 70-80 degree comfort. I have to sit and really think about what holiday is next; and let me tell you, it’s a strange feeling.

In my perfect world, there would be a long spring and fall, a regular summer and a week-long winter around Christmastime. Maybe the much talked about climate changes will take care of that for me. I hope all of you folks outside of SoCal are enjoying the changing leaves and the cooling temperatures. Drink a warm apple cider for me.

Happy autumn,

Jamie

Well, maybe we should just paint a bunch of yellow and red leaves on our walls, eh? That should do the trick....

I definitely think you should grab a couple of cans of paint and make those white walls seasonal!

Ya, I love fall. Only it is way too short in Utah!
